It’s important to consider the situation, environment, and people around you when wearing perfume. Is it just me, or do many of you now have fragrance sensitivities? I for one had been wearing Halston since I was 16 years old, but I stopped using fragrance because it gives me a headache. Also, many people seem to be allergic and sensitive to certain types of fragrance. If someone is wearing a heavy fragrance on public transportation, there’s nowhere for you to escape it. The courteous thing to do is just not apply it.

4 Places Not to Wear It:

1. Public transportation. Small spaces can create fragrance friction with no place to escape.

2. Gym. Sweat and fragrance do not mix.

3. Funeral. It’s not about you, it’s about the deceased. No one wants to draw attention to themselves on a somber day.

4. Surgery. Before, during, and after. There will be too many other things to worry about than how you smell.
