As both a fashion and shopping writer, news of a sale is never hugely groundbreaking. Sorry. The Alo Yoga sale, however? I broke a nail trying to access the website so quickly (seriously).
When a brand has earned its accolades as much as this one has, and has enough celebrity endorsement that everyone and their grandmother has heard of them, you know you’re onto a winner. And I hate to bang the urgency drum, but an Alo sale is a once-a-year sort of affair – they usually only partake in the Black Friday sales – so if you’re in the market for anything from new loungewear to the best gym leggings, pilates/yoga equipment and other activewear favourites, stick with me.
From Tinashe’s oversized sweatshirt, to Kendall Jenner’s chic sports bra, Hailey Bieber’s favourite cycling shorts and Kaia Gerber’s off-duty model athleisure look, A-listers can’t get enough of the 2007-established brand, and now thanks to them, neither can we.
Born in Los Angeles by founders who wanted to help promote the transformative power of yoga, each piece in the Alo line is said to elevate the practice – although not every piece is meant for exercising. Yep, you read correctly, it’s also the perfect everyday brand, with comfortable, contemporary and decidedly not-just-for-the-mat styles.
You’ll find everything from wide-leg trousers and the best white shirts, to tank tops, logo-branded socks, caps, and flared leggings that are so super soft you’ll want to run every errand in them included in their collection.
The celeb-approved Aloversary sale started this week, and while there are still tonnes of trending bestsellers in stock (in virtually every shade and size – US 00 to a 22, FYI – you can think of), the girlies are moving fast. So, if you want in on the 30% off sitewide deal, you’re going to need to be quicker.
