With gaggles of jewels, no lack of luxe designers and a famed Beverly Hills location, the Golden Globes aren’t exactly on a budget—just don’t tell that to the iconic Jennifer Coolidge. Using MCoBeauty’s range of affordable makeup, celeb makeup artist Jo Baker prepped the always-glam Coolidge for the red carpet, and her total makeup look rang in at only $132.
As Baker shares, radiant, healthy skin with warm cocoa-smoked eyes and a full lux lash was required for the golden night. “Since she’s wearing a ’70s-feel sheer, layered black gown with chunky gold jewelry, I wanted to bring a sense of cool, effortless modern glam feels to this screen icon!”
For the base, Baker went straight in with Flawless Glow Foundation by MCoBeauty. “With a subtle illuminating and smoothing formula, it perfects without weight for a beaming, glowing finish,” Baker says. “I then added MCoBeauty’s Brighten & Perfect Cream Concealer for small tone-perfecting around the nose and cheeks and additional coverage where needed.”
Since Coolidge “loves a glamorous eye,” Baker wanted a minky, matte-brown color wash all over her lid and through the lower lash line smudged and blended for a soft, hazy look. “For this, I sketched MCoBeauty’s Eyeshadow Stick in Matte Chocolate, which glides on easily and blends like a charm! I love using eyeshadow chubby sticks like this—these are everyone’s cheat sticks for fast makeup application that lasts for hours without any fallout.”
Baker then finished the eyes off with a luxe full-glam feel via XtendLash Mascara by MCoBeauty, which “stretched Jen’s lashes out and made the best base for the additional lashes we added on top!”
A light dusting of McoBeauty’s Miracle Flawless Pressed Powder #2 in Natural Medium on the T-zone and chin was applied to the skin. “For a burst of yummy peachy on the apple of her cheeks, I dabbed McoBeauty’s Soft Matte Beauty Wand in Cosmopolitan Blush for a soft-matte flattering flush,” Baker says.
McoBeauty’s Perfect Pout Lip Liner in Very Shelley was the perfect tone to bring fullness and shape to Coolidge’s iconic lips. “Jen loves a lipgloss texture on the lips, but I also need a long-wear, lasting lip base too, so I layered McoBeauty’s Lip Ink Longwear High-Shine Liquid Lipstick in True Peach followed by a healthy dollop of Liplight Shine Gloss in Marshmallow by MCoBeauty for a glistening, glass-like pout.”
Last but not least was the body makeup. “Keeping the golden goddess glow flowing all over, I mixed McoBeauty’s Instant Glow Flash Primer with Super Glow Bronzing Drops by MCoBeauty together and buffed it over the chest and any skin that was showing,” shares Baker of the final step. “This gives an all-over luminous sheen and evens out winter skin that is craving a little sun burst.”
