Lady Gaga Got a Blunt Bob Just in Time For Spring

It’s been a big year for Lady Gaga. She had a movie come out! She got engaged! She performed at the Grammys! She announced a new album! She got a haircut! And now, days before the release of Mayhem, she stayed true to the album’s title by getting another one.

Just over a month after the 38-year-old premiered a soft jellyfish cut at the 2025 Grammy Awards, Lady Gaga showed up in New York City on March 5 with a fresh chop that made good use of her previous style’s shortest layer. Ultimately, the soft jellyfish is a combo bob/long haircut situation without any seamless blend. Now, her hair is simply short… which isn’t necessarily a surprise, if you’ve peeked at the album’s cover.

Though we haven’t seen Gaga officially premiere the style yet (just wait for SNL on Saturday; it looked so cute at her table read), there’s a lot we can gauge about it from the pap-a-pap-a-razzi photos that were released of her signing autographs this week. Falling right at chin length, the short cut is a true bob, which she kept fluffy with the ends curving inward.

The short length was paired with a micro bang, which has been part of the artist’s look since the Freddie Aspiras-cut jellyfish made its first appearance. As far as color goes, she also seems to be keeping the almost-black shade—not a surprise, as Mayhem season is just beginning.

Although her hair is dark, the Oscar winner’s eyebrows are currently a color we’re more used to seeing her in. By “a color,” I mean bleached.
