With its silky, second-skin finish and skin-loving, hydrating formula, Armani Beauty’s iconic Luminous Silk Foundation ($69) once again proved its place in the red carpet hall of fame at tonight’s Emmy Awards.
A favorite among A-listers and celebrity makeup artists alike, the beloved formula continues to deliver that elusive balance of weightless coverage and lit-from-within radiance—an essential when the world (and the flashbulbs) are watching.
Praised for its seamless blendability and customizable coverage, Luminous Silk makes achieving a flawless, natural-looking complexion feel effortless, whether it’s a sheer glow or full glam. Even more impressive? The shade range—thoughtfully developed to flatter every skin tone—ensures that every star, regardless of undertone or complexion, has their perfect match.
On tonight’s Luminous Silk list (for starters): Leslie Bibb, Kristen Bell, Sydney Sweeney, Rashida Jones, Molly Gordon and Jessica Williams.
“For Leslie’s look, I was inspired by the minimalist structure of her dress,” shared celebrity makeup artist Rachel Goodwin, who went with Luminous Silk in 5.2 and 5.4 for The White Lotus star’s glow. “I wanted her makeup to look like something you’d see on the runway. Radiant, transparent skin, elongated pewter lined eyes and stained lips. I wanted her makeup to be glamorous, yet allow her natural beauty to shine.”
For Bell’s beauty notes, celebrity makeup artist Courtney Hart started with Luminous Silk Foundation in shades 3 and 4.5, warmed with Luminous Silk Bronzing Powder 90 and set with Glow Fusion Powder 4.
“Cheeks were layered with Glow Blush 50 ($40) and Cheek Tint 62s and 53 ($40) for a soft pink flush,” Hart shares. “On the eyes, Eye Tint 18m ($39) was swept across the lid, the crease defined with 8s 12s tapped onto the center for shine and 32 for a hint of sparkle, with 99m brushed over a baby wing created with Smooth Silk Eye Pencil 4 ($34) to intensify and set. Lashes were finished with Vertigo Lift Mascara ($32), and the lips blended Lip Power 592 ($45) and 114 with Prisma Gloss 07 ($40), a creamy color with flecks of pink shimmer.”
And, as celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg succinctly summed it up regarding Jones’s radiant look before she left for the red carpet: “Off she goes! ❤️ Our beautiful nominee @rashidajones with a full face of @armanibeauty.”
